According to the decline thesis, following a golden age associated with the reign of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent r. However, by , historians had begun to reexamine the fundamental assumptions of the decline thesis. After the publication of numerous new studies throughout the s, s, and s, and the reexamination of Ottoman history through the use of previously untapped sources and methodologies, academic historians of the Ottoman Empire achieved a consensus that the entire notion of Ottoman decline was a myth — that in fact, the Ottoman Empire did not stagnate or decline at all, but rather continued to be a vigorous and dynamic state long after the death of Suleiman the Magnificent. Despite this dramatic paradigm shift among professional historians, the decline thesis continues to maintain a strong presence in popular history , as well as academic history written by scholars who are not specialists on the Ottoman Empire.

In computability theory , the Church—Turing thesis also known as computability thesis , the Turing—Church thesis , the Church—Turing conjecture , Church's thesis , Church's conjecture , and Turing's thesis is a hypothesis about the nature of computable functions. It states that a function on the natural numbers can be calculated by an effective method if and only if it is computable by a Turing machine. Before the precise definition of computable function, mathematicians often used the informal term effectively calculable to describe functions that are computable by paper-and-pencil methods. In the s, several independent attempts were made to formalize the notion of computability :. This has led mathematicians and computer scientists to believe that the concept of computability is accurately characterized by these three equivalent processes. Other formal attempts to characterize computability have subsequently strengthened this belief see below. On the other hand, the Church—Turing thesis states that the above three formally-defined classes of computable functions coincide with the informal notion of an effectively calculable function.

Rehearsal provides opportunities to apply knowledge to practice different parts, see what works, and then put it together for a total speech. Rehearsal involves praxis, which usually refers to the process of putting theoretical knowledge into practice, through a constant cycle of conceptualizing the meaning of what can be learned from experience. Praxis is the process by which a theory, lesson, or skill is enacted, practiced, embodied, or realized. Praxis may also refer to the act of engaging, applying, exercising, realizing, or practicing ideas.
