One of the hurdles you will face when earning a Ph. Finding an acceptable topic that is neither too general, nor too idiosyncratic is a challenge you will face with your dissertation committee. Since your specialization area is special education, you'll need to find a topic that is conversant with current trends in research, but original to your project. Before you begin to even consider taking notes for your dissertation, you will want to use your class lectures and outside research projects to create a solid background in special education. You'll also want to start thinking about your specialized area, since dissertations topics in any discipline can vary greatly.

Jennifer M. General education teachers have differing views about the inclusion of students with disabilities in mainstream classrooms. Many instructors do not believe they are able to teach these populations effectively while simultaneously teaching a large group of typically developing students. Using a snowball sampling method, 25 general education teachers were surveyed regarding their willingness to include a child with autism and a student with EBD in their classroom to determine if there was a significant difference in their attitudes toward the disabilities. An independent sample t-test was used to compare the mean scores of the data in addition to a descriptive statistics method to examine the ranges of the two groups. The significant difference in mean scores suggests that the participants were more accepting of having a student with autism in their general education classrooms than a student who has EBD. Special Education: Autism (Children)
Dissertation or the research work related to any discipline or subject can be very difficult no matter if it is engineering, science, medical, history, geography or arts etc. Then there is a subject by the name is autism, which requires students to do a lot of research to make it something big and understandable in their detailed work done in the term paper. The autism subject deals with a particular kind of a medical condition or a psychological disorder which is present in the people either from birth or from their early childhood days.
The aim of this case study dissertation was to explore the dynamics of parent professional collaboration for education of children with autism in a mainstream primary school. Effective partnership between school and parents is gaining currency in the legal documents concerning inclusion of children with special educational needs. Partnership with parents of children with autism is especially vital considering the core difficulties of children with autism in communication and socialisation. Parent-professional collaboration can contribute tremendously in increasing the effectiveness of any educational programme for children with autism.
